Look stunning in silver eyeshadow
@vividlylovely @ulovemegz
Stand out in a crowd with a shimmery silver eyeshadow.
Silver shadow is bright, and the best way to grab people’s attention. And, when mixed with warm tones (like in this look), the silver becomes more bold and vibrant.
What you’ll need for this look:
● Luminizer in “Mermaid Tears” ($7)
● Eye Crayon in “Silver” ($6)
● Uptown Downtown Eyeshadow Palette ($12)
● False Eyelashes in “UES Girl” ($6)
● Matte Liquid Lip in “Soho” ($8)
Step 1: Take your Luminzer and dab it on your cheekbones, forehead, and the bridge and tip of your nose. Blend it out for a subtle, natural-looking shine.
Step 2: Then, you’ll need your Uptown Downtown palette and brush set. With your flat smudge brush, take the shade “Latte” and apply it into your crease and out towards your eyebrows.
Use your small all-over shadow brush to apply “Espresso” into your outer corner. Carry this deep brown about ⅔ of the way across your eyelid and gently blend with “Latte.”
Step 3: Grab your Eye Crayon in “Silver” and swipe on some shimmery silver. Meet and mix it with the “Espresso” shadow.
Lightly line your lower lashes with the Eye Crayon to make your eyes really pop. Then, to finish it off, apply your UES Girl lashes.
Step 4: Pair with a nude rose Liquid Lip – like Soho — and you’re done, babe.
When it comes to outfits, this silvery NYE look is super easy to match with. And it’s perfect if you want to kick it up a notch this holiday without going totally out of your comfort zone.
Be bold with a bright blue
@khloekardashian
Khloe Kardashian really set the bar high with this vivid blue look. Fashionable and fierce, a blue shimmer shadow is the way to go on a day like New Year’s.
What you’ll need for this look:
● Cream Blush in “Fairy” ($9)
● Eye Crayon in “Electric Blue” and “Pearl St.” ($6)
● False Eyelashes in “TSQ Girl” ($6)
● Moisturizing Lipstick in “Born With Shine” ($7)
● Eyeshadow Brush Set ($10)
Step 1: First, dab the Cream Blush onto your cheeks — it’s very pigmented, so a little goes a long way! Blend it out with the Powder Brush for a natural, breezy flush.
Step 2: Apply the Electric Blue Eye Crayon into your outer corner (this formula is very buildable, so keep just applying until you get the shade of blue you’re after). Also, apply a thick line along your lower lash line.
Using the small all-over shadow brush, blend and smudge the blue to create a smokey effect. Make sure to carry some of the pigment into your crease to fill out the look.
Step 3: Take the Pearl St. Eye Crayon and apply it to the center of your lid, your inner corner, and halfway across your lash line (starting from the inner corner).
Go back with the brush and blend the pearly white with the blue to create a sort of ombre effect.
Step 4: Run the blue crayon along your lower waterline to add dimension and definition to your eyes. Apply your TSQ Girl lashes and Born with Shine lipstick, and you’ve got a finished look.
If you’re looking to be the life of the party, this shadow look is definitely for you. No matter where you are this New Year’s Eve, you’ll be sure to turn heads.
Go for glittery gold (and a classy red lip!)
@mlle_jasminmacrae
The perfect go-to look for NYE is always a gold glitter and bold red lip combo. These two colors together create a gorgeously warm, glowing vibe. But this look is a twist on the simple gold and red look — it includes two other glitter shadow shades to add depth and definition to the eyes.
What you’ll need for this look:
● Jelly Highlighter ($11)
● Glitter Eyeshadow Set ($12)
● Moisturizing Lipstick in “Everyday is Christmas” ($7)
● False Eyelashes in “Chelsea Girl” ($6)
● Eyeshadow Brush Set ($10)
Step 1: First, apply the Jelly Highlighter to your cheekbones, the bridge and tip of your nose, and your cupid’s bow (the little divet right above your top lip).
Step 2: Moving on to the eyes, use the small, all-over shadow brush to apply the glitter shadow “Onyx Diamond” as an eyeliner. This is a bold move, and it results in a striking finished look.
Using the same brush (after wiping it off, of course), apply the “Champagne” glitter to your inner corners, along your lower lash line, and halfway across your eyelids. Blend it out to create an awesome faded glitter look.
Wipe off that brush one more time to apply the “Ruby Slippers” glitter from the middle of your lower lash line to your outer corners. Blend with the “Champagne” glitter for a little ombre look.
Step 3: After that, just apply your Moisturizing Lipstick and there you have it! A timeless, classy New Year’s makeup look.
To those who want a simple yet effective look this NYE, go for gold and red. It’s simple but sophisticated and sexy. Trust us — everyone will have their eye on you.
