3 Winter Makeup Looks to Rock in 2023
It's the New Year: If you’re anything like us, you’re ready to ring in the new year with some style, and we have the perfect trendy winter makeup looks for you!
Below is a list of three fun and trendy makeup looks that anyone can rock.
1. Cold Girl Makeup:
We got it - winter is not everybody’s month. Although the harsh winds and freezing temps create a beautiful natural blush, not everyone can handle the cold.
Want the same natural looking flush without suffering the coldness? Follow our simple steps for the most trendy look at the moment: cold girl makeup.
The most crucial aspect of this look is blush. For best results, use our Hydrating Liquid Blush ($10) or our award-wining Cream Blush ($9). Apply the blush to your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose, similarly to a contour.
To add a natural glow, dab our Jelly Highlighter ($11) or Luminizer ($7) on the tip of your nose and on your cheekbones.
Using these two easy steps in addition to a simple natural base and lips, such as our Lip Gloss ($8), you will be owning it!

2. Shimmer Eyeliner:
What’s better than some sparks to celebrate the New Year? To spice up any makeup look, the easiest way is to add some shimmer to your eyes to dress up your eye looks. This metallic eye trend is perfect for turning heads this new year!
Infused with jojoba oil and vitamin E, our Eye Crayon ($6) guarantee a smooth yet hydrating application on your eye lids. For any New Years’ party, you would look lavish in the shades like Silver, Electric Blue, or Gold.
If bright colors are not your vibe, go with more subtle choices like Pearl St, Champagne, or Passionate Pink.
Regardless of if you prefer a more subtle soft girl glam, or a luxe dramatic shine, you are guaranteed to shine and start the New Year off in a bright and exciting way.
"Yay! I like these better than Thrive’s similar product which is a LOT more expensive (eye brighteners). In fact I found this place while I was growing old waiting for Thrive to have a sale 🤣. These are more pigmented imo" - Sarah, verified customer.
3. Siren Eyes:
The recent craze for the new eye look is a mix of the infamous smokey eye and the newest trend: the siren eye.
Blending the two creates the perfect eye look that will hopefully become a timeless winter classic.
The first and definitely the most vital step is laying out a captivating shimmery base layer of eyeshadow. We recommend using our Eye Primer ($8) to create the canvas like base, and add the shimmery champagne shade from our Eyeshadow Duo ($7).
The next step can come off as a shocker, that is: you do not actually need an eyeliner to create a winged-eye look. As the siren eye calls for a much softer line, you can easily substitute a liquid/gel liner with a dark eyeshadow applied with a smudge brush or eyeliner brush. Any brown shade such as the one from our BKB Eyeshadow Palette ($12) will do just the trick.
For an even easier application, feel free to place a piece of tape in the direction you wish for your wing to follow. After applying make sure you blend out any harsh lines and follow the same steps on the inner corner of your lid.
After adding some captivating lashes like our False Eyelash in TSG (Times Square Girl) you are reading to celebrate any holiday this winter!
